Charles Todaro
Player Development Specialist
Charles Todaro is a mental training and performance coach that believes fostering relationships is the basis for working with individuals in all aspects of life. His main goal at KMR Golf Academy is to help players get the most out of your physical training and nurture positive mental engagement. He does this through mental game training in a supportive environment that will improve performance, develop positive mindsets, unlock greater enjoyment of the game, improve preparation and strategy, and ultimately help you develop into a more complete player.
Charles draws on his professional work with competitive players from the junior to pro level, competitive amateur playing career, and vast experience as a caddy to offer fun integrated training and personal support that promotes overall well being. He has a Masters degree in Sport Psychology and is pursuing a Doctoral degree in Clinical Sport Psychology with an emphasis on Neuropsychology.

Deborah Brown
Coach
Deborah, a native of the Bay Area was introduced to the game of golf by her husband of 39 years. She has been playing golf for 5 years. Deborah was hooked when she played in a fundraiser Tournament and won the women’s longest drive trophy and has been playing ever since!
Deborah is a Co-Site Director for the Girls Golf of the Bay Area, a girl-friendly program that uses golf to help instill confidence and inspire participants to dream big. She offers weekly supervised practice sessions in addition to the monthly classes to those who want more from their games. Deborah also serves as a Junior Golf Coach for the FUNdamentals series and Junior Camps at the KMR Golf Academy.
Prior to coming to KMR Golf Academy, Deborah served as a Volunteer Coach with The First Tee East Bay from March 2016 until the fall of 2017. During her tenure with the First Tee of East Bay, she gained a tremendous amount of knowledge of the game as well as the life lessons that can be taught through the game. Her commitment to the program led to her promotion to Lead Coach at Mission Hills Golf Course in Hayward. In December 2017, Deborah was recognized as an “Outstanding Volunteer” by The First Tee East Bay. She loves and is dedicated to the work she does and it's obvious from the first time you meet her.

Ryan Keane
Coach
A Bay Area native, Ryan began playing golf when he was four years old. Having played competitively in high school at Bishop O’Dowd and for the Cal Club Team, Ryan has since spent the last three years coaching for The First Tee and the KMR Golf Academy. Ryan has a passion for teaching and coaching youth golf, which is shown
through his energy and enthusiasm as well as his
patience as a coach. Apart from golf, Ryan loves to cook, travel, and take his dog Ivy on hikes.

Jason Macaranas
Assistant Jr. Coach
Jason started playing the game of golf when he was 9 and it has captured his heart from the first time he
hit a ball. Coach Kathleen has served as one of his coaches helping him to develop his game and inspiring him to share his love and dedication of the game
with others. Jason serves as an assistant coach for
the KMR Golf Academy at Skywest Golf Course,
working with juniors on developing solid fundamentals. He is also a member of the James Logan High School Golf Team and currently an Ace participant in the First Tee of Tri-Valley. "When I see kids with a smile on their face and it fills me up with joy".
